Bandarossa Special Edition is born from a careful selection of the best grapes selected by twenty vineyards from which the Bandarossa Prosecco Superiore DOCG is made. These grapes are submitted at a sparkling process longer than the classic Charmat Method: this limited edition remains in contact with the yeasts for more than three months, after which the wine remains in a bottle in our cellar at controlled temperature for another four months before being ready for tasting.

Il Segreto di Giuliano

Having always been a point of reference on the Prosecco panorama, the Bortolomiol winery is based in Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG appellation area.

The sparkling winemaking company was founded by Giuliano Bortolomiol in the 1940s, although the family tradition dates back to 1760. Giuliano, who graduated from the Conegliano School of Oenology, was the first to create a Prosecco brut.

Today the winery is run by sisters Elvira, Maria Elena, Giuliana and Luisa Bortolomiol, who are committed and passionate about carrying on the family tradition, making continuous investments into technology and overseeing the entire production process. Aided by a team of oenologists headed by Roberto Cipresso, the Bortolomiol sisters focus their attention on sustainable projects that safeguard mankind and the land.

All of Bortolomiol’s experience in the sparkling wine field was used to accomplish this additional challenge: continuing the exploits of Giuliano Bortolomiol as a skilled sparkling-wine maker and great experimenter, always looking for new ways forward in the name of high quality. This Grande Cuvèe is dedicated to him, the first one to make a Prosecco Brut, a Rive which is exclusively produced with grapes from the San Pietro di Barbozza vineyard, Extra Brut and Millesimato in order to present the particular characteristics of each vintage in the best possible way.

The Traditional collection ranges in the most classic expressions of Prosecco Superiore, interpreting the different versions. The Maior stands out for the roundness of its taste, for its softness and a pleasing level of sweetness, which places it towards the sweeter end of the Prosecco Superiore spectrum.

Red Blend

The Mormorò, a Cabernet DOC Piave with a lively character, is the expression of a land bathed by the river Piave, important because of ist vocation for the red grape varieties. An area very dear to Giuliano Bortolomiol, and selected as far back as the 1960s. Always a fan of red wines, he chose precisely this area to bring the Mormorò to life.

Extra Brut

Audax Zero.3 completes the Traditional collection: with its bold character and sugar level very close to zero, it fully reflects today's consumer trends and at the same time the vision and pioneering spirit of Giuliano Bortolomiol, who in the 1960s was the first to produce a brut version of the Valdobbiadene prosecco. This sparkling wine encapsulates the entire sparkling wine experience of the Bortolomiol winery.

The grapes were harvested during the 2020 and come from a single vineyard located on a steep slope in the woodland of the Denomination, which enjoys perfect exposure to the sun. The Rive di Col San martino give life to this extra brut , following lengthy ageing on the lees, which brings out the extreme characteristics of a land that is difficult to cultivate, where everything is done "by hand".

Demi-Sec

The sweetest wine from a much talented family. Bortolomiol created this sparkling wine using the Charmat method, gaining a level of sweetness beyond that of the Cartizze. So we are in the presence of a perfect desert wine. Another result of the passion and great sparkling wine making skill of the Bortolomiol winery.

Extra Dry

A "good sign". Originally tha banda rossa, or red band, was a mark that the founder, Giuliano Bortolomiol, put only on bottles containing the best extra dry of the year. These were the bottles that were kept for real friends, those who shared his passion for the land, tradition and good wine. Since forty years the special Prosecco di Valdobbiadene that giuliano marked has had ist own label and represents the quality of the best wines from the Bortolomiol winery.

Brut

Bortolomiol has been using organic wine-growing techniques for many years, converting the family vineyards, located in the heart of valdobbiadene and within the Parco della Filandetta, to meet EU standards for organic wine growing. We firmly believe in the principles of sustainability and total respect for the environment. We chose the Brut because of its more international appeal, Millesimato so as to highlight the characteristics of each and avery harvest in keeping with the Ius Naturae, or "natural law", upon which every human law is based.

There is a particularly precious hillside area in valdobbiadene called Cartizze. It is a place of breathtaking beauty, its allure ancient and timeless. The Cartizze hill is a genuine Grand Cru. It is said that in the rive of these few hilly hectares the best grapes are grown. For its unique exposure to the sun and the mineral-rich soil, here the vines produce more riunded barries, swollen with juice and with a sugar taste that makes them of superior quality. These grapes are only ever harvested by hand.

A long Charmat made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes which underlines Bortolomiol's enthusiasm to take sparkling wine making in new directions. On the occasion of the visit of an illustrious guest, a few friends came to Giuliano asking for a unique, refined and very dry sparkling wine. For the talented wine maker this was the moment to present a cuvée that he'd been working on in order to produce an Extra Brut. And so the Riserva del Governatore sparkling wine was born. It was a success.

Rosé

Great sparkling wine maker that he was, Giuliano Bortolomiol made his first rosé in the early 1970s. Today his daughters Maria Elena, Elvira, Luisa and Giuliana together with their mother Ottavia, present a sparkling rosé, dedicated to the women who worked in the Valdobbiadene silk mills. The Filanda rosé is a homage from women to women, proudly pink.

This is the number one sparkling wine from the Bortolomiol traditional line. The roman numeral on the bottle and the name Prior bear testament to the fact that Giuliano Bortolomiol had the intuition to create a brut Prosecco at a time when it was only an extra dry. Prior symbolises Giuliano's pioneering spirit and his belief in Prosecco di valdobbiadene and in the Martinotti Charmat sparkling wine-making method with fermentation in an autoclave, also known as the Italian Method.

The Senior is the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg par excellence. Its latin name is as clear to everyone around the world as the name Prosecco. For some and for a long time the sparkling Prosecco couldn't be anything more than extra dry for its natural sweetness and sugar residue. The number "II" on the bottle signifies that this is the second on the scale between the driest and the softest. It's called Senior because it was the first version.

The Canto Antico has a history that has now been lost with the passing of the decades. At one time in Valdobbiadene, the "tranquilla" version was very widespread, a Prosecco with no bubbles, a mainstay of everyday lunches and dinners. 

From a charming old vineyard in Montalcino comes Il Segreto di Giuliano, by the winemaker Roberto Cipresso: the point of departure on a long adventure by the Bortolomiol family. When the impassioned wine lover and researcherGiuliano Bortolomiol gazed out across the vineyards of Tuscany on his many travels, he dreamed of making a red wine in these captivating sorroundings so full of history and culture. Giuliano's secret, pure Sangiovese aged for 12 months in french oak barrique is a man's dream and a tribute from his daughters to a life full of emotions and fond memories.
