All of Bortolomiol’s experience in the sparkling wine field was used to accomplish this additional challenge: continuing the exploits of Giuliano Bortolomiol as a skilled sparkling-wine maker and great experimenter, always looking for new ways forward in the name of high quality. This Grande Cuvèe is dedicated to him, the first one to make a Prosecco Brut, a Rive which is exclusively produced with grapes from the San Pietro di Barbozza vineyard, Extra Brut and Millesimato in order to present the particular characteristics of each vintage in the best possible way.
The Traditional collection ranges in the most classic expressions of Prosecco Superiore, interpreting the different versions. The Maior stands out for the roundness of its taste, for its softness and a pleasing level of sweetness, which places it towards the sweeter end of the Prosecco Superiore spectrum.
The Mormorò, a Cabernet DOC Piave with a lively character, is the expression of a land bathed by the river Piave, important because of ist vocation for the red grape varieties. An area very dear to Giuliano Bortolomiol, and selected as far back as the 1960s. Always a fan of red wines, he chose precisely this area to bring the Mormorò to life.
Audax Zero.3 completes the Traditional collection: with its bold character and sugar level very close to zero, it fully reflects today's consumer trends and at the same time the vision and pioneering spirit of Giuliano Bortolomiol, who in the 1960s was the first to produce a brut version of the Valdobbiadene prosecco. This sparkling wine encapsulates the entire sparkling wine experience of the Bortolomiol winery.
The grapes were harvested during the 2020 and come from a single vineyard located on a steep slope in the woodland of the Denomination, which enjoys perfect exposure to the sun. The Rive di Col San martino give life to this extra brut , following lengthy ageing on the lees, which brings out the extreme characteristics of a land that is difficult to cultivate, where everything is done "by hand".
The sweetest wine from a much talented family. Bortolomiol created this sparkling wine using the Charmat method, gaining a level of sweetness beyond that of the Cartizze. So we are in the presence of a perfect desert wine. Another result of the passion and great sparkling wine making skill of the Bortolomiol winery.
