A brief history
We are in 1922, imagine a nine-year-old boy, at school, during a math lesson, looks around with a distracted air ... That child is Matteo, he already has very clear ideas: his place is not that. He decides to run towards freedom, goes out of the window, heads home and like many children of the time he begins to help the peasants of the neighborhood with the livestock.
Matteo, however, loves agriculture and immediately becomes passionate about the cultivation of the vine, he likes to take care of it and see it grow and day after day he manages to steal, from the winemakers of the time, all the secrets of cultivation, above all he understands and makes their own "know-how". From here begins our adventure, Matteo's dream.
The two brothers sons of Matteo, born in 1943 and 1944.
Both grown up "as they once were", they follow the path traced by their father, with the passion and dedication to work that Matteo has been able to transmit to them.
Luigi attended the Enological School of Conegliano and later became the family oenologist, Renzo dedicated himself to the commercial side and both contributed to the growth of the company, under the eager and proud gaze of Matteo.
We remain in the third generation. The two cousins, current owners of the adventure. Andrea, Renzo's son, has an innate creativity, literally stolen from his father.
After completing his studies, Andrea joins Orfeo in the cellar and they become a close-knit and impeccable team.
Raffaella, the strong and determined child, grows up in the old family office where she learns from her father Luigi that in this profession, in addition to numbers, her heart must also find its place.
And then there is me, the fourth generation.
I spent my childhood in the grandmother's kitchen and among the heroic banks of my grandfather.
Well yes in the end I became a cook but with a passion for wine and the territory in which I grew up.
I give my best in contact with people and in our tasting room, where I like to revive in the people I welcome, all the emotions experienced in these hills.
My future is not yet written but my secret dream is to be able to combine the culinary art with the art of wine in order to continue this adventure with you.
