A brief history
The vineyards producing Prosecco DOC spread over the hills in the province of Treviso, beginning in Conegliano, passing through Refrontolo, and finishing in Valdobbiadene, covering around 18,000 hectares.
This range of hills is protected from the north by the Dolomites and by the Adriatic Sea to the south, both having a positive influence on the nature and climate of the landscape. In 1962, the Consortium for the Protection of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco was founded in order to protect this thousand-year-old wine heritage. State laws were established so that the quality of this great wine, renowned throughout the world, would be maintained, assured and constantly improved.
