Nose
It offers the bright, crisp fruit and floral essence of our traditional Prosecco with the delicate elegance of Pinot Noir.
Palate
It sparkles with classic notes of fresh-picked citrus, honeysuckle, peach and pear, blending with hints of ripe red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry.
Growing Conditions
La Marca Prosecco is made from the expressive Glera grape, found in the hillside vineyards of Italy’s Prosecco capital, Treviso.
Harvest
After meticulous examination, the fruit was selected and hand-harvested.
Bottling
Wines from the Prosecco D.O.C. regions must meet the high standards of these designations by passing a series of tests.
The finished product is formally tasted and reviewed for the vineyard practices and winemaking techniques before receiving the official seal.
Winemaking
The grapes for La Marca Prosecco were selected with great care from small vineyards throughout the Prosecco D.O.C. After harvest, the grapes were crushed and then immediately pressed in gentle membrane presses. The juice was allowed to cold settle before initial fermentation in upright stainless-steel tanks at a maximum temperature of 65°F. The still wine was aged on its lees prior to extended secondary fermentation, which added structure and complexity to the blend.
Aging
Thanks to the characteristics of the expressive Glera grapes, Prosecco is best consumed fresh and shouldn't be aged.
Appearance
Pale raspberry.
