Nose
It opens with aromas of citrus and honeysuckle blossoms, with a hint of pear.
Palate
It is crisp and clean, brings fruity flavors of green apple, peach and ripe lemon, with hints of
minerality. The finish is light and refreshing. This wine is really well-balanced.
Growing Conditions
Our Luminore Prosecco Superiore is made with 100% Glera grapes, grown in small plots on some of the steepest hillsides in Italy.
Harvest
After meticulous examination, the fruit was selected and hand-harvested.
Bottling
Wines from the Prosecco D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. regions must meet the high standards of these designations by passing a series of tests.
The finished product is formally tasted and reviewed for the vineyard practices and winemaking techniques before receiving the official seal.
Very limited Proseccos – less than 25% - receive the D.O.C.G. designation.
Winemaking
The grapes were immediately crushed to retain optimum fruit character and then put in a gentle press. The juice was allowed to cold settle before initial fermentation in upright stainless-steel tanks, keeping the temperature between 59 and 64°F. Finally, the wine was aged on its lees prior to secondary fermentation.
Aging
Thanks to the characteristics of the expressive Glera grapes, Prosecco is best consumed fresh and shouldn't be aged.
Appearance
Pale, golden straw color.
