The term “Rive” indicates, in the local dialect, the slopes of the steep hills that characterize the territory. This typology highlights the different expressions of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The Rive is often obtained from the steepest vineyards and with grapes from a single municipality or fraction of it, to enhance the characteristics that the territory gives to the wine. In the denomination there are 43 areas, and each one expresses a different peculiarity of soil, exposure and microclimate.
