It was the 70s when the idea began to spread that a sparkling wine produced from the grapes of the hills could conquer the world. Just then father Caterino and mother Urbana with confidence and courage bought a few hectares of vineyards on the hills of San Pietro di Feletto in the center of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Denomination.
Here rises Sommariva Palazzo Rosso.
Year after year, those few hectares have become 50 and today we are proudly one of the first companies directly managed by the Denomination. The baton was picked up by his daughter Cinzia, who with passion and determination took off the clothes of a chartered accountant and wore those of an agricultural entrepreneur.
The 90s arrived when she decided to build a modern and functional cellar in which to welcome the wine produced from our grapes with a single guideline, to produce Spumante Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore with a strong territorial identity.
Today it is the strength of a woman in charge who makes precise and responsible choices, cultivating the vine respecting the rhythms of nature, preserving and enhancing the uniqueness of our territory, a World Heritage Site for Unesco, and making artisan wines with character, refined and elegant, emotional wines.
