Nose

Altaneve Z’s delicate floral bouquet boasts hints of apricot and spring flowers.

Palate

The extended winemaking adds the wonderful depth and complexity of a Champagne with the typical freshness of a Prosecco, giving the wine a powerfully crisp, dry character highlighting both the minerality and the persistent, velvety perlage of the wine.

Growing Conditions

Altaneve Z is produced in the foothills of the Italian Dolomite Mountains in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG region. The wine’s single-vineyard plot has been making Prosecco for over 1000 years. It is one of the oldest plots in Valdobbiadene on a steep, south-facing hillside in the hamlet of San Pietro di Barbozza. The vines on this plot average over 60 years of age with roots set in the calcareous clay of an ancient seabed that bestows a unique minerality to the grapes.
