Nose
Very typical and elegant aromas with distinctive notes of pear, apple and white fruit tied to a delicate floral note.
Palate
On the palate is creamy with a great persistency and pronounced minerality. Very fine and elegant.
Growing Conditions
Estate-owned vineyards located in San Gallo (near Soligo) at an altitude of 380 mt (1246 ft) a.s.l. and 70% of slope. The soil is calcareous and rocky, rocky-clay.
Harvest
Harvest by hand in the month of September.
Bottling
Isobaric after sterile filtration. The wine refines then in the bottle for roughly 3 months.
Winemaking
The winemaking process starts with a soft pressing of grapes, static decantation and fermentation at controlled temperature.
The second fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks (cuvée close) at temperature controlled in contact selected yeasts and last approximately 150 days. The tartaric stabilization takes place at low temperature.
Appearance
Straw yellow color with greenish hues; very fine and persistent perlage.
